Cats and community celebrated at kitty crowning ceremony

A four-month-old orange and white kitten, Parker gave a welcoming loud meow as guests entered the cafe. He’s not nominated for catnip crown today, but there is such a large commotion of people he can’t help but be excited to join in the festivities.

‘Scott Pilgrim Takes Off’ has the guts to change the story

Two decades ago in Toronto, Canada Scott Pilgrim was dating a high schooler and it was more problematic than my 16-year-old brain could comprehend. Recently, Netflix released its anime adaptation ‘Scott Pilgrim Takes Off’ and by the end of the first episode the plot literally takes off, leaving the original storyline behind. It is possibly the boldest and smartest move any adaptation has ever done.

Dual enrollment soars, but can PCC keep up high numbers?

Amid changing demographics for community colleges, PCC presented new enrollment strategies to the Board of Trustees at the Nov. 15 Board meeting. This comes at a time as California community colleges are experiencing enrollment returning back to pre-pandemic levels, but now with a different demographic.
